Bengal Police arrests Blinkit staff for stealing electronics worth several lakhs in Khardah

A trusted employee of a renowned e-commerce company Blinkit turned thief and fled with expensive electronic gadgets from the company’s warehouse in Kolkata, only to be caught red-handed by police within days. Kaushik Biswas, a resident of the Khardah thana area, was arrested after an employee of the Security & Loss Prevention Department filed a complaint on November 17 at Ghola Police Station.

The company noticed several high-value items missing during a routine check and quickly zeroed in on Kaushik through internal CCTV footage and stock records. Acting fast, ASI Samar Das and his team raided Kaushik’s house and recovered a treasure trove of stolen goods hidden there. Among the items were six Galaxy Smart Watches, three Titan watches, three Boya wireless microphones, plus Realme and OnePlus earbuds, a Fast Track watch, a smart watch, and a Bluetooth camera.

The total value of the recovered items is estimated several lakhs, shocking both the company and police who did not expect such a large haul from one person.Kaushik has been remanded to police custody and is being questioned about how long he was stealing and whether he is involved with any gang or a racket. police for the swift action and promised stricter checks at all e-commerce warehouses.
