West Bengal recorded a 12% year-on-year increase in gross Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections for July 2025, with the total amount reaching ₹5,895 crore. In comparison, the collection in July 2024 stood at ₹5,257 crore. The data has been released by the Government of India as part of its latest provisional GST figures.

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee shared the figures and said, “Glad to share that West Bengal has recorded a robust year-on-year 12% growth in gross GST collection in July 2025.” She further informed that the cumulative growth rate of GST revenue in the state up to the month of July 2025 stands at 7.71%.

According to officials, the increase in GST collection reflects a steady rise in business activity and consumption within the state. The rise is part of a broader pattern of revenue growth seen across multiple months, indicating consistent performance in the state’s GST revenue stream.
