On Sunday, the West Bengal Special Task Force produced Alamgir Hossain and Faisal Karim—two prime accused arrested in connection with the murder of Usman Hadi, a martyred leader of Bangladesh’s Inqilab Manch—before the Bidhannagar Court. The development comes as investigators continue probing the cross-border case that has drawn significant attention.
Both accused were arrested by the Bengal STF on March 8 from the Bongaon border area. Authorities had been tracking their movements before detaining them near the international border, suspecting their involvement in the killing of the Bangladeshi political figure. Following their arrest, Alamgir Hossain and Faisal Karim were placed in police custody for interrogation. Over the past 14 days, investigators questioned the duo to gather details about the circumstances surrounding the murder and any possible network linked to the crime.
After the completion of their police custody period, the STF produced both accused before the Bidhannagar Court on Sunday for further legal proceedings. The case continues to remain under investigation as authorities examine additional leads related to the killing.
