The Central Enforcement Directorate (ED), which is probing the famous teacher recruitment corruption case of West Bengal, has called the chairman of the Primary Education Council for questioning. However, this post in the Council is currently vacant, so Chairman Gautam Pal said that the officers will go to the ED office on behalf of the Council.
Sources in the central agency have told that documents related to the Primary Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) held in 2014 have been sought. Detailed information has been sought regarding who were the people in the appointment panel, how many people were recommended for appointment, how many posts were created additionally etc.
Chairman Gautam Pal said that the CBI has already been given a lot of information in this regard. Maximum documents have been given to the central agency. ED has also asked for documents, so it will be made available.
