A 39-year-old entrepreneur, Suchana Seth, from West Bengal, residing in Bengaluru, has been detained by a local court in Goa for the alleged murder of her four-year-old son. As per recent developments, the CEO claims, she didn't kill her so. While the police suspects it a planned the murder.
On Wednesday, during the last rites of her 4-year-old son, the CEO of Mindful AI Lab start-up company, Suchana Seth, claimed that she hasn't committed the murder. While Goa Police have found cough syrup bottles in the hotel room; and a postmortem revealed death due to suffocation. It is believed that she took this drastic step to prevent her estranged husband from meeting the child as part of court-ordered visitation rights amid their ongoing divorce proceedings.
According to the doctor, the child have died due to suffocation with something like a pillow. When his body arrived for post-mortem care about 36 hours after the murder; his face and chest were swollen due to suffocation; and he was also bleeding from the nose.
The police also revealed that Suchana tried to commit suicide after killing her four-year-old son in the service apartment in North Goa. She tried to end herself by cutting the veins in his hands. Police found blood on the floor and towels of the service apartment. Goa Police arrested Soochana on Tuesday; she was produced in the Mapusa Court of Panaji. The court sent her to police custody for six days.
