Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra arrived in Murshidabad district, West Bengal, drawing a significant crowd in this traditional Congress stronghold. Residents lined both sides of the roads to catch a glimpse of Rahul Gandhi as the yatra traversed through the area. Having completed the first phase in West Bengal, the yatra re-entered the state via Ratua in Malda district, covering Devipur in Bardhaman district in the northern region.
The journey, spanning 523 km in six districts, including Darjeeling, Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar, and North Dinajpur, has seen enthusiastic responses, especially in North Bengal, once considered a Congress stronghold. Rahul Gandhi engaged with locals during the yatra, making a notable stop at Akbar Shaikh's house to witness the beedi-making process and converse with the women involved.
