No relief for Rajpal Yadav, court jailed him for 3 months in cheque bounce cases
Taaza TV organised the first phase of its Medha Samman 2026 talent felicitation ceremony on June 24 at the Dhana Dhanya Auditorium in Alipore, where around 2,500 students from 111 schools who topped the previous board examinations were honoured with certificates and mementos. The auditorium was filled to capacity as the felicitation began at 2:30 pm in the presence of dignitaries, including Miraj D. Shah, Managing Trustee of The Bhawanipur Education Society, and Dharmendra Trivedi, Trustee of Bhawanipur Global Campus. The Bhawanipur Education Society was the Title Sponsor of the programme, while Bhawanipur Global Campus was the Powered by Sponsor. The programme marked 18 years of Taaza TV's student recognition initiative, which began with around 100 students.

Addressing the gathering, Miraj D. Shah said the achievements of the students reflected the spirit of "Sabka Prayas", where every effort, every sacrifice and every sleepless night contributes to success. Referring to India's vision of becoming a Viksit Bharat by 2047, he said the youth would lead the country's progress. He also said that West Bengal had once accounted for 12 per cent of the global GDP in the 17th century and stated that the state now had an opportunity to return to its earlier prominence. "The stage is set for Bengal. After 50 years, that we have got such a strong government and with brilliant minds like you, there is no reason we cannot rise back to those golden days where Bengal will lead the country and the world," he said.

Shah said the students were not only examination toppers but also the country's future scientists, engineers, entrepreneurs, civil servants and nation-builders. Quoting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's message, "Nation First, Always First," he urged the students to treat their achievement as a responsibility for the future rather than a personal milestone. Shah and Dharmendra Trivedi also reaffirmed their institutions' commitment to building a "New Bengal" in cooperation with the state government following the recent change in government in West Bengal.
