Kartik Aaryan's latest horror-comedy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, has enjoyed a strong start at the box office, crossing the Rs.100 crore mark worldwide within just two days of release. The film, directed by Aneez Bazmee, has successfully captivated fans with its Rooh Baba vs Manjulika showdown, continuing the franchise’s popularity and delivering a solid performance on its opening weekend. According to reports by Sacnilk, the film has garnered a total of ₹107 crore globally by day two.
The makers released an official statement celebrating Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’s global impact. On its opening day, the film raked in an impressive Rs.55.30 crore worldwide, setting high expectations for its performance over the festive season. The positive reception demonstrates Kartik Aaryan’s growing fan base, especially as audiences resonate with his journey as an “Indian dream” story, a sentiment he expressed in a recent interview.
However, the film faces tough competition from another Diwali release, Singham Again. The action-packed drama, led by Ajay Devgn, opened with a massive Rs.125.20 crore globally, outpacing Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 in total collections. With an ensemble cast featuring actors like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, and Akshay Kumar, Singham Again is proving to be a formidable competitor this festive season.
Kartik Aaryan, in reflecting on his career and popularity, noted that fans relate closely to his journey. “My audience sees my success as an Indian dream they can relate to. They relate to my journey, my ups and downs, in a very personal way,” he said, underscoring how his relatability factor has contributed to his sustained appeal among fans.
Directed by Aneez Bazmee, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 also brings back some iconic elements from its predecessor. While the previous installment featured Kiara Advani and Tabu, the latest film has a fresh ensemble with Triptii Dimri, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, Rajpal Yadav, and Vijay Raaz joining the cast, adding to the supernatural intrigue and comedy that defines the franchise.
As Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 continues to perform well internationally, it remains to be seen whether it can catch up to Singham Again. Both films are expected to rake in significant collections during the festive season, making for an exciting box-office battle.
