Following the assembly elections, newly elected MLAs Piyush Kanodia of the 115 Rajarhat-New Town Assembly constituency and Dr. Sharadwat Mukhopadhyay of the 116 Bidhannagar Assembly constituency visited the Bidhannagar Municipal Corporation on Monday. The two legislators held a meeting with Mayor Krishna Chakraborty, Chairperson Sabyasachi Dutta, Trinamool Congress councilors, and members of the Mayor-in-Council at the municipal headquarters.
According to officials present at the meeting, discussions focused primarily on ensuring smoother and more efficient municipal services for residents of Bidhannagar and adjoining areas. Both MLAs reportedly emphasized the need for coordinated administrative functioning and effective delivery of civic amenities across their respective constituencies.
During the interaction, issues related to municipal governance and public service delivery were discussed between the elected representatives and municipal authorities.
