In a significant development, three individuals referred to as the "Panda Trio" were arrested by the Bidhannagar North police station for their involvement in a high-profile theft at Salt Lake City Center.
The incident, which occurred in March, resulted in the theft of lakhs of rupees from Salt Lake City Center One. The police diligently analyzed the CCTV footage from various locations within the center, leading them to identify several individuals who were potentially connected to the crime.
Among the suspects captured on the CCTV footage were Dheeraj Roy, Bhola Pradhan, and Sunny Mallick. The police noticed these individuals loitering around the city center late at night, which raised suspicion. Acting swiftly, the authorities apprehended them and initiated intensive interrogation. As a result, it was revealed that the trio had indeed entered the premises with the intention of committing theft.
Further investigation into their backgrounds revealed a history of involvement in similar criminal activities, primarily targeting prominent shopping malls. The thieves had previously executed thefts involving substantial sums of money. Their modus operandi involved selecting high-value targets and exploiting vulnerabilities in security systems.
This is not the first time these individuals have faced legal consequences for their actions. They were previously arrested in connection with a theft at Kolkata's South City Mall, an incident that drew attention and prompted further scrutiny from law enforcement agencies.
