Jr Doctors announce 'hunger strike' from today, says demands not met
Bollywood actor Sonu Sood, who has become a common man's messiah during the COVID-19 lockdown, was recently felicitated by a Hyderabad restaurant.
Gismat Jail Mandi restaurant has launched India's largest plate, 'Sonu Sood Plate', for actors.
Taking to his Twitter account on Sunday, Sonu shared several pictures with a huge thali and said he was "humbled". "India's biggest plate is now named after me ???? Being a vegetarian who eats little food can't have a plate named after him that satisfies 20 people at once ????❤️ Humbled," he tweeted.
The restaurant's founder Gautamy Choudary said the plate is named after Sonu Sood because the actor has a 'big heart'. Sonu Sood often makes headlines for his philanthropic work. In Telangana, people also built a temple and dedicated it to actors.
During the lockdown caused by COVID, Sonu Sood helped thousands of migrants return to their hometown. He also helped people in arranging beds, injections, medicines and vaccines and even provided food and basic things to the needy.
