Bihar's Revenue and Land Reforms Minister, Dr. Dilip Jaiswal, announced a three-month postponement of the land survey, addressing the concerns of farmers struggling to gather necessary documents. During a press conference, Jaiswal emphasized that the extension aims to alleviate the difficulties faced by landowners who have had to navigate bureaucratic challenges.
To facilitate this process, the government will hold meetings with farmers and public representatives to understand the issues better. Experts from Uttar Pradesh will be brought in to address complications related to documents written in the Kaithi script, ensuring that survey personnel receive proper training.
The minister highlighted the government's commitment to finding concrete solutions and indicated that a formal letter outlining these updates will be issued soon. He also acknowledged the confusion and anxiety surrounding the survey, assuring that the extension would ultimately benefit the community, especially the next generation.
Additionally, in a related initiative, the Water Resources Department plans to acquire 2.51 acres of land near the Baghjan Zamindari Dam to prevent flooding, as per a recent High Court decision.
