Bike rider dies, passenger hurt near Mother Wax Museum

A tragic road accident in Newtown resulted in the death of a bike rider and left a female passenger injured near the Mother Wax Museum. The incident, which occurred on the route from Shrirampur to Biswa bangla Gate, involved a collision between the motorcycle and a bicycle, leading to the fatal accident. Sayantan Bose (26), the bike rider from Shrirampur, along with his female passenger, was navigating the road when their motorcycle became entangled with a bicycle near the museum. The collision caused all three individuals to fall, with the bike rider tragically succumbing to injuries after being run over by a passing bus.

According to police sources, this unfortunate incident marks the second accident to occur at the same location within a short span, highlighting potential safety concerns on the roadway. Newtown Traffic Police and Ecopark Police swiftly responded to the scene, transporting the injured girl and the deceased bike rider to Bidhannagar Upazila Hospital for medical attention. Investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident are underway to ascertain the precise cause and prevent similar tragedies in the future.
