Former U.S. President Bill Clinton emphasized the stark contrast between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump in the upcoming 2024 presidential election, describing it as a "clear choice" for Americans. Speaking at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) on Wednesday, Clinton criticized Trump's presidency, accusing him of "creating chaos" and being self-centered.
Clinton, who served as president from 1993 to 2001, lauded Harris as a leader dedicated to giving every American the opportunity to "chase their dreams." He expressed confidence in her ability to address the nation's challenges and seize its opportunities, contrasting this with Trump's focus on personal interests.
"In 2024, we have got a pretty clear choice, it seems to me. Kamala Harris, for the people, and the other guy, who has proved even more than the first go-around that he’s about me, myself, and I," Clinton said, referring to Trump.
Clinton also urged Democrats to remain vigilant, cautioning against overconfidence and stressing the importance of being prepared for any challenges that may arise during the election.
