Birbhum police deny permission, yet Rahul Gandhi's 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra' continues

The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi faced a setback as the Birbhum Police refused permission for the event. According to Birbhum district superintendent of police, Rajnarayan Mukhopadhyay, the application submitted by Congress for Rahul Gandhi's yatra was canceled by the police due to the ongoing secondary examination.

However, despite the denial of permission, Rahul Gandhi proceeded with the yatra, entering Birbhum district and conducting a road show accompanied by a gathering of Congress supporters. The yatra traversed through Majhipara in the Buddhigram area of Tarapith police station, covering Khargram, Aogram, Erowali, and Purulia in Murshidabad district. State Congress President Adhir Chaudhary also participated in the yatra, emphasizing its peaceful nature despite the police administration's concerns.
