BJP alleges Arvind Kejriwal's 'Sundarkand Path' as diversion amid ED summons

Union minister Anurag Thakur criticized the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday, suggesting a connection between the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) summons to AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal and the party's recent 'Sundarkand Path' event in Delhi.

Thakur accused the AAP government of neglecting Hindu temples, priests, and seers during its rule in Delhi, alleging that the party resorted to religious events amid the ED summons. Arvind Kejriwal has been avoiding ED summons related to the Delhi liquor policy case, and Thakur questioned the timing of the Sundarkand Paths amidst these summons.

Thakur stated, "Those who indulged in corruption, today, the same Arvind Kejriwal and his people are stuck in the quagmire of corruption. They skip the summons but to garner the media's gaze, they are doing Sundarkand Paths."

Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Kejriwal and his wife attended a Sundarkand recital at a temple in Rohini, seeking blessings for India's progress. Opposition leaders, including AIMIM's Asaduddin Owaisi, criticized the event, alleging it aligned with the BJP's ideology.
