BJP and Congress launched criticisms against Aam Aadmi Party leader Arvind Kejriwal for evading Enforcement Directorate (ED) summons, branding him as 'kattar beimaan' (staunchly corrupt) and an "absconder." BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia accused Kejriwal of considering himself above the law and alleged his non-compliance with the ED summons stemmed from nervousness related to corruption charges. Bhatia further revealed that Kejriwal, out of apprehension, had written to the ED requesting the withdrawal of the summons.
Meanwhile, Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit expressed disappointment with Kejriwal's deviation from his proclaimed anti-corruption stance, labeling him a "cheater of his own ideology." Dikshit reminded Kejriwal of his past commitment to transparency and resignation in the face of allegations. In response, AAP leaders defended Kejriwal, asserting that the ED had not addressed his queries and suggesting political motives behind the summons, particularly in the context of upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
