BJP calls for 12-hour bandh in Uttarbang tomorrow after party worker's death in police firing

A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker was recently killed in Kaliyaganj due to police firing, which has led to widespread unrest in the region.

In response, the BJP organized a demonstration in Chuchunda to protest against the incident. However, the party's outrage has not subsided, as they have now called for a 12-hour bandh in Uttarbang tomorrow, in further protest against the worker's death.

A young man was allegedly shot and killed by the police in Kaliaganj, leading to renewed tension in the area. The incident occurred late on Wednesday night in the Radhikapur area of Kaliaganj block.

The incident has added to the already tense situation in the area, following protests and attacks on the police over the alleged gang-rape and murder of a minor child from the Rajvanshi community in Kaliaganj
