North Bengal Development Minister Udayan Guha accused BJP of playing petty politics over the partition of Bengal. On Wednesday, North Bengal Development Minister Udayan Guha, while holding a press conference at the Siliguri Journalist Club, accused BJP of playing double politics.
Raising questions on the BJP, he raised question on the issue of partition, BJP's 'one policy for Tripura, another policy for Bengal. He further said that the hypocrisy of the BJP will soon come before the people of the country. He also said that the double standards of the BJP are harming the state and the country. He demanded BJP to express its opinion on the petty politics of Bengal partition within the next 48 hours.
A businessman by profession, Udayan Guha first contested and won the assembly elections from Dinhata constituency as a AIFB candidate in 2011. In 2015, he severed ties with AIFB and joined AITC. Subsequently, he was re-elected from Dinhata as a Member of Legislative Assembly with a AITC ticket in 2016.
