The BJP's juggernaut seems to have fallen weak in terms of strength in Rajya Sabha. with four nominated upper house members retiring, the saffron party's seat tally has dipped to 86. The total upper house strength of the NDA has also dipped to 101. The current strength of Rajya Sabha is 226 as there are 19 vacancies.
Although the NDA can still get key bills to pass from the House, the BJP will have to rely on its allies. Rakesh Sinha, Ram Shakal, Sonal Mansingh, and Mahesh Jethmalani are the four nominated members who retired on Saturday.
