The BJP in Bihar has kicked off its political activities for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections with the grand Luv Kush Rath Yatra organized by Luv Kush Samaj Bihar. The chariot procession, which began from the BJP office in Patna, witnessed celebratory dances by members of the Kinnar community. This chariot will reach Ayodhya on January 22, the day when a grand program of consecration of the idol of Lord Ram is to be held in the Ram temple.
As the BJP gears up for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the party is strategically focusing on the Ram Mandir issue. The Luv Kush Rath Yatra is part of these preparations, adding heat to the political landscape in the state.
Responding to the Luv Kush Rath Yatra and BJP's emphasis on the Ram Mandir, Tej Pratap Yadav, RJD leader and Forest Environment Minister, criticized the BJP, alleging the party's exploitation of religious sentiments for political gains. He recalled a previous incident in Karnataka, claiming that BJP faced repercussions for using Lord Hanuman's name in elections. Tej Pratap predicts a similar fate for the BJP in the current scenario, stating, "This time the bow and arrow of Lord Ram will hit BJP only."
