BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari terms Mamata Banerjee ‘communal’ over Eid-ul-Fitr message

West Bengal’s Opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari on Saturday launched a full frontal attack on Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee after her message to Muslims on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Taking to Twitter, Adhikari termed the CM “shameless” and “communal”. He further attacked her by saying that she did not respect the community and considers Muslims as only a vote bank.

“You poisoned their festivities in the morning itself. Sooner or later you will be paying a heavy price for this Communal Brand of Politics”, charged the BJP leader.

Praising his party, Adhikari said that the Bharatiya Janata Party stands for ” Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas aur Sabka Prayas”, while the Trinamool Congress believes in “Sabko Bharkao, Sabko Uksao, Sabko Larao aur Sabko Uljhao.”

He said that the Trinamool does this so that nobody questions their inefficiency in governance and the lack of development in the state under their rule. He also claimed that the dearth of employment opportunities in the state under the TMC government and the law and order was so bad, that it was next to non-existent.  Adhikari had also attached the video of CM Mamata Banerjee along with his tweet. 

Earlier in the day, Banerjee had called upon people to choose wisely when they go to vote in the next elections. She alleged that the BJP is trying to divide Muslims and also change the Constitution and the whole history of the country.  She urged voters to stand with her and promised to fight on their behalf. “I urge you all to stand with me, we will fight and we will win”, she said.
