Even on Friday, the state Assembly witnessed chaos as BJP MLAs raised objections and created a ruckus over a statement made by Labor Minister Malay Ghatak regarding the status of tea gardens. The Labor Minister claimed that all tea gardens are open, which infuriated the BJP MLAs who argued that many tea gardens have remained closed for decades.
Led by BJP's deputy leader, Manoj Tigga, the MLAs demonstrated both inside and outside the House, expressing their disagreement with the government's stance on the state of tea gardens.
