The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched its manifesto for the 2025 Delhi Assembly Elections, outlining an array of welfare measures for women, senior citizens, and economically disadvantaged communities in the capital. The party has committed to delivering financial assistance, healthcare benefits, and social security through various schemes aimed at improving the quality of life for residents in Delhi.
One of the central promises in the manifesto is the Mahila Samridhi Yojana, which will provide ₹2,500 per month to every woman in Delhi if the BJP is elected to power. This initiative is designed to support women’s economic empowerment and will be implemented in the first cabinet meeting. Additionally, the BJP has pledged a ₹500 subsidy per LPG cylinder for economically weaker women, and one free cylinder will be provided to these households annually during the festivals of Holi and Diwali.
In addition to financial aid for women, the BJP has also promised a ₹21,000 financial benefit for pregnant women. The party plans to provide six nutritional kits for women, further promoting maternal health and nutrition. The manifesto also highlights the introduction of the Atal Canteen Yojana, which will offer subsidized meals at ₹5 each for people living in slum areas and JJ clusters, aiming to reduce hunger and improve access to nutritious food for the underprivileged.
For senior citizens, the BJP promises an increase in pension benefits. Senior citizens aged 60 to 70 will see their monthly pension rise from ₹2,000 to ₹2,500, while those aged 70 and above, along with widows and specially-abled individuals, will receive ₹3,000 per month. The party has also committed to the continuation of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana in Delhi, with an additional ₹50,000 in health coverage for families. This initiative aims to increase access to quality healthcare, especially for low-income families.
The BJP also aims to continue and build upon the welfare programs currently in place in Delhi. The party has promised that all existing public welfare schemes, including the Ujjwala Yojana, Swachh Bharat Mission, and others, will be maintained. Additionally, the BJP has vowed to investigate any corruption charges related to these schemes, assuring voters that the focus will be on transparency, good governance, and furthering social welfare programs to ensure better living standards for all residents of Delhi.
