BJP stages protest blocking Howrah Bridge in response to the attack on ED, central forces, and media in Sandeshkhali

In a demonstration against the attack on the Enforcement Directorate (ED), central forces, and media in Sandeshkhali, BJP state leader Umesh Rai led a protest that resulted in the blockage of Howrah Bridge on Saturday.

Commencing around 4 pm, the protest involved BJP workers burning the effigy of the Chief Minister in opposition to the incident. The blockade led to a significant traffic jam on Howrah Bridge, causing inconvenience to commuters. Police intervention was required to disperse the protesters after approximately 15 minutes, leading to a clash between law enforcement and demonstrators who lay down on the road.
