The BJP-led NDA and the opposition INDIA bloc are in a tight race in Uttar Pradesh's 80 Lok Sabha constituencies after initial rounds of vote counting on June 4.
The Samajwadi Party candidate Awadesh Prasad was leading over Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Lallu Singh in Faizabad Lok Sabha seat by over 10013 votes by 1:30 pm. Temple city Ayodhya, where the Ram Temple, falls under Faizabad seat, one of the 80 Lok Sabha seats of Uttar Pradesh.
In Azamgarh, BJP's Dinesh Lal Yadav was trailing with 113630 votes, Samajwadi Party's Dharmendra Yadav leading by 86729 votes.
In Gorakhpur, BJP's Ravi Kishan was leading with 41727 votes.
The Samajwadi Party is leading in 37 seats, Congress in 7 seats, and the BJP in 33 seats. The Congress is leading in key constituencies such as Saharanpur, Amroha, Fatehpur Sikri, Sitapur, Barabanki, Rae Bareli, Amethi, and Allahabad.
