The Bharatiya Janata Party Yuva Morcha staged a protest outside the Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate, demanding that the office be “purified” with Ganga water. The protest was organised in opposition to the presence of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and the police commissioner at the I-PAC office, which the youth wing alleged was inappropriate.
As part of the protest and deputation programme, BJP Yuva Morcha members gathered with placards and raised slogans, calling for symbolic purification of the police commissionerate. The protesters reiterated their objection to the developments linked to the I-PAC office, reports said.
