NCP leader Baba Siddique shot multiple times and dies in Mumbai Hospital
In the aftermath of the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) sweeping victory in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh state polls, National Conference vice president Omar Abdullah clarified that the outcome does not signify the defeat of the INDIA bloc.
Abdullah asserted that the opposition parties did not contest the elections collectively, with candidates from Congress, SP, AAP, and others participating independently. The BJP's decisive triumph has fortified its dominance in the Hindi heartland, dealing a significant blow to the Congress.
He suggested that the Congress should introspect on its own performance rather than viewing it as a collective failure of the INDIA bloc.
As per reports, Abdullah expressed condolences for the tragic accident in Shimla, where six laborers from Jammu and Kashmir lost their lives.
