BKU and United Kisan Morcha declare 'Bharat Bandh' on 16th February

The Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) and the United Kisan Morcha have jointly announced a nationwide Bharat Bandh scheduled for the 16th of February, citing unresolved demands. Chaudhary Rakesh Tikait, the national spokesperson of the BKU, has mobilized support across the country through social media, rallying individuals from various sectors to participate in the bandh.

The decision to call for the Bharat Bandh on the 16th of February has also garnered backing from a coalition of central trade unions, regional federation associations, and the Samyukt Kisan Morcha (SKM), marking a united front against perceived corporate policies and government actions.

In a bid to amplify their voices against what they perceive as detrimental corporate policies, officials from the Sanyukt Kisan Morcha and BKU's Rakesh Tikait have urged the general public to join forces and make the Bharat Bandh on February 16th a resounding success. Alleging government negligence and injustices, Tikait has appealed to farmers, labor organizations, and people's associations to unite in solidarity. The call for the Bharat Bandh reflects a broader movement seeking to address grievances and advocate for the rights of farmers and laborers across the nation.
