An explosion followed by a blaze occurred in a building located in downtown Tokyo, leaving four individuals injured, according to the city's fire department.
Footage captured flames and smoke emanating from a second-floor business in the vibrant Shimbashi district around 3:20 pm local time.
Authorities dispatched a total of 32 fire trucks to the scene as they responded to the incident. While details about the injured are still emerging, a fire department spokesperson confirmed that three of them were conscious, while information about the fourth person is yet to be disclosed.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
