Indian citizens along with Bollywood’s ace diva Nushrat Bharucha are currently in Israel, and the situation there is uncontrolled. Israel and Palestine have been urged to "remain vigilant" as tensions escalate in the Israel-Hamas conflict. The Indian embassy in Jerusalem and the Representative Office of India in Palestine issued advisories in multiple languages, providing safety guidelines and emergency contacts.
The conflict, characterized by rocket attacks and escalating violence, has caused casualties on both sides. Indian students and nationals residing in the region are in close contact with the Indian embassy for support and guidance.
The actress is safe in Israel and will soon be returning to her home nation, India. Nushrrat’s mother Tasneem Bharucha provided information about her daughter’s current status in Israel. She is at the airport, and there is no need to worry about her return, according to the Indian Embassy. Although, safety and return of other Indians is awaited.
In Israel, approximately 18,000 Indian citizens, including caregivers, diamond traders, IT professionals, and students, are navigating the crisis. Additionally, there are around 85,000 Jews of Indian origin in Israel who have immigrated from India over the years. The advisories aim to ensure the safety and well-being of Indian citizens amid the ongoing turmoil, with an emphasis on caution, avoiding unnecessary movement, and seeking refuge in safety shelters. The situation remains tense as the conflict continues to unfold.
