The area was swiftly cordoned off, and the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) was called in for a thorough inspection. Following their clearance, traffic in the vicinity resumed. Forensic investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the explosion.
One of the injured, identified as ragpicker Bapi Das, was rushed to NRS Medical College and Hospital. His statement is yet to be recorded due to his condition.
