In a disturbing incident in the Subhash Nagar area of block number two in Mathurapur, South 24 Parganas district, tension escalated as miscreants targeted the Kali temple with a bomb last night at 11 pm. Local sources indicate that this event follows the theft of jewelry from the Kali temple's idol that occurred once in the month of Ashadha in Bengal.
In response to the bomb blast, agitated residents of the area took to the streets, blocking the road in protest. The Raidighi police station was promptly informed, and they arrived to recover the bomb fragments. Frustrated by the incident, villagers maintained the road blockade for about two hours this morning, demanding the immediate arrest of the perpetrators. Assurances from the police administration were given, promising the arrest of the miscreants within seven days, yet the bomb blast at the Subhash Nagar Kali temple has left the entire area in shock.
