Allu Arjun gets interim bail by high court in Pushpa 2 stampede case
A Kolkata-bound IndiGo flight carrying 187 passengers and six crew members made an emergency landing at Raipur airport on Thursday morning following a bomb threat. The flight, which had taken off from Nagpur, was redirected to Raipur after airport authorities received information about the potential threat. Raipur’s Senior Superintendent of Police, Santosh Singh, confirmed the incident and assured that all necessary security protocols were being followed.
The flight landed safely in Raipur shortly after 9 am, where it was directed to the airport’s isolation bay. This area is designated for emergency situations, allowing thorough inspections to take place away from the main terminals to ensure the safety of all passengers and staff.
Immediately upon landing, the aircraft was secured by airport personnel, and a comprehensive inspection began. A specialized bomb squad and IndiGo’s technical staff conducted a meticulous search of the plane and surrounding area, inspecting all cargo, seats, and passenger belongings to ensure there was no threat.
As part of standard procedures in cases of bomb threats, passengers and crew members were promptly evacuated and escorted to a secure area within the airport. Authorities noted that all passengers remained calm and cooperative during the inspection, which facilitated the investigation process.
Senior police officials in Raipur stated that every precaution was being taken to ensure the safety of all involved, with additional security teams on standby if required. While the security checks continued, officials were working closely with airport security to gather any information on the source of the bomb threat.
