Allu Arjun gets interim bail by high court in Pushpa 2 stampede case
A first-time flyer at Kolkata Airport caused major delays and panic after falsely claiming there was a time bomb in the handbag of an IndiGo staff member who had already boarded a Chennai-bound flight. CISF officials quickly apprehended the individual, and the passenger was handed over to police.
The bomb scare prompted the formation of a Bomb Threat Assessment Committee (BTAC), which had all passengers disembark for thorough security checks on the flight and luggage. Ultimately, the flight, scheduled for 3 pm, was cleared and took off at 6:19 pm, reaching Chennai by 9 pm.
The man, a Lucknow resident traveling with two family members, had been waiting to board his flight to Agartala. Airport authorities stopped him from boarding and filed a complaint after his actions caused widespread alarm. Officers indicated that he seemed mentally unstable, with his family confirming he was under treatment. Authorities are now consulting medical professionals to assess his mental condition.
Senior officers explained that the man’s family had informed them of his mental health issues. He, along with his family members, was still under interrogation at the NSCBI airport police station on Sunday night.
