Bombs hurled at ISF leader's house in Bhangar; TMC blamed

Two bombs targets the home of Indian Secular Front (ISF) booth president Icha Mollah in the Bhangar's Shanpukur Chandihaat. One bomb hurled at the ISF leader's house window and another bomb partly damages the building. No injuries were reported but the attack has reignited fears of alleged full-blown turf war between ISF and the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC), with ISF workers blaming TMC seeking to intimidate opposition voices. Police from Uttar Kashipur station under Kolkata Police's Bhangar Division arrived the scene swiftly, bolstering their presence with extra forces to quell any spillover violence.

The bombing isn't an isolated flare-up; it's the latest chapter in Bhangar's never-ending clashes. Just few days earlier, in the nearby Bhumru village under Bhangar's Bhogali-2 Gram Panchayat area, ISF and TMC workers had a fierce clash that left several injured in both sides, turning a routine political spat. As investigators comb the debris for clues, the incident lays bare the high stakes: control over Bhangar's pulse, where every vote counts and every shadow hides a potential threat.

Local leaders from both sides have urged restraint, but the deployment of additional police from Uttar Kashipur thana patrols signals that authorities are prepared to tackle any further unrest in the area. Beyond the immediate fallout, the bombing serves as a gruesome indication for upcoming Bengal assembly polls, prompting questions about the safety of grassroots activists caught in the crossfire of politics
