A 13-year-old boy, Armaan Ali, was heavily injured in a wolf attack in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, late Sunday night. This marks the latest in a string of attacks that have terrorized the region of Bahraich. Armaan, who was sleeping on his terrace in Mahis tehsil, was attacked by the man-eater wolf and suffered injuries to his neck and shoulders. He was rushed to a local hospital and later referred to Bahraich Medical College due to the severity of his injuries.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited the area, assuring residents that public safety remains the top priority. He announced that 25 teams of 165 forest department personnel, along with four thermal drones, have been deployed for surveillance. The government also declared human-wildlife conflicts as disasters, offering a compensation of ₹5 lakh for any loss of life and making anti-rabies treatments available for injured victims.

The fear-stricken Bahraich residents have been enduring these wolf attacks since July, with more than 10 fatalities and 35 injuries reported to date. The authorities are actively working to resolve the situation, promising the locals that the threat will soon be eliminated.
