PM Modi interacts with IAF’s Shubhanshu Shukla; First Indian aboard ISS for 14-day space mission
A helicopter carrying former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa was forced to abort its first landing attempt due to plastic sheeting and other garbage lying at the helipad in Kalaburagi.
The pilot decided to abort the landing because his visibility was affected by plastic materials flying into the air as the helicopter approached the ground. The helicopter later landed safely after security personnel cleared the plastic.
Security personnel on the ground hastily cleared of plastic around the helipad. The pilot then landed the helicopter.
It is considered a breach of protocol and officials are likely to order an investigation.
BS Yediyurappa is in Kalburagi to attend BJP's 'Jana Sanakalpa Yatre'.
