Additional Director General (Eastern Command) of the Border Security Force (BSF), Mahesh Kumar Agarwal, has emphasized the need to enhance vigilance and strengthen security at the India-Bangladesh border due to increasing challenges and changing conditions in Bangladesh. During his visit to the Eastern Frontier, Agarwal reviewed the security arrangements and operational preparedness in the border areas.
During the visit, BSF’s Guwahati Frontier Inspector General Sukhdev Raj and other senior officers briefed Agarwal on the current status of the border. The review meeting addressed issues including emerging situations in Bangladesh, cross-border crimes, and security matters related to the India-Pakistan border. The discussions focused on assessing readiness to handle any incidents promptly and effectively.
Agarwal instructed officials to maintain strict alertness at the India-Bangladesh border to ensure quick and effective responses to any emergency situations. The review underlines ongoing efforts by the BSF to monitor and secure the eastern border region amid dynamic security challenges.
