BSF caught an Indian citizen with gold biscuits in North Bengal

Raiganj Sector of North Bengal Frontier of the district and 137th Battalion Border Security Force (BSF) jawans have caught an Indian citizen with gold biscuits. The name of the captured Indian national is Biman Mandal (50). He is a resident of Banora village under Hilli police station in the district.

This information was given by issuing a press release on behalf of BSF on Friday. According to information, during routing checking, the bike driver caught Biman Mandal in suspicious condition. When Biman Mandal was searched, 10 pieces of gold biscuits were recovered from his pants pocket. He was carrying these gold biscuits illegally on his bike from Hilli to Balurghat.

The estimated market value of the seized gold biscuits is Rs 66 lakh 12 thousand 907 lakh.

Here, during interrogation, the accused disclosed that he was going to deliver the gold biscuits to Partho Ranjan Saha at Balughat. He works as a carrier of gold biscuits. At the same time, after interrogation, the BSF has handed over the accused caught with the seized goods to the Balurghat Customs Office.
