BSP suspends MP Danish Ali over alleged anti-party activities

BSP has officially announced the suspension of Lok Sabha MP Danish Ali, accusing him of engaging in anti-party activities. The party issued a notice on Saturday, citing the violation of party discipline as the primary reason for this disciplinary action.

Danish Ali, who had previously faced verbal abuse from a BJP leader on the parliamentary floor, has been at the center of a political controversy that erupted following objectionable remarks made by BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri during a discussion on the Chandrayaan-3 mission in September.

The notice addressed to Danish Ali highlighted that despite previous warnings, he continued to indulge in activities against the party's interests. The document, without specifying the nature of the anti-party activities, stated that Ali had forgotten the promises made upon joining the BSP.

The suspension follows Ali's engagement with various Opposition leaders and a solo protest outside Parliament advocating for justice for Trinamool Congress leader Mahua Moitra, who was expelled from the Lok Sabha.

Danish Ali, in response to the suspension, expressed his concern over the decline of parliamentary decorum since the controversial comments made by Ramesh Bidhuri in September.
