Car chases and hits bike after argument in Salt lake, biker dies

A motorcyclist, identified as Ayaz Hussain from Kashipur, died after being hit by a private car near Salt Lake Tank No. 12. The incident occurred after an initial collision between a private four-wheeler and another car, leading to an argument. Police sources stated that Hussain, allegedly involved in the altercation, apologized before leaving the scene. Moments later, the private car followed him and hit his bike from behind, causing him to fall onto the road.

Eyewitnesses said local residents found Hussain critically injured and rushed him to NRS Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Bidhannagar South police responded to the scene, seized the accused vehicle, and arrested the driver. Officials confirmed that the accused was taken into custody soon after the accident, and legal proceedings began immediately. The police are reviewing CCTV footage and collecting witness statements to determine the sequence of events.

The accused driver was produced before the Bidhannagar Sub-Divisional Court today. Authorities are investigating whether the collision was accidental or intentional. Further forensic examination of the vehicle and accident site is underway. Police have urged witnesses to come forward with any information related to the case.
