No eviction drive in Burrabazar & College Street, clarifies KMC Commissioner
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has postponed the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations scheduled for March 2, 2026, in several Middle Eastern countries due to the prevailing situation in the region. The board confirmed that the affected examinations will be rescheduled and fresh dates will be announced later.
In an official notice, the board stated that the examinations planned for Monday, March 2, for both Class 10 and Class 12 students would not be conducted as scheduled. “The examinations scheduled for Monday, 02 March 2026, for both Class 10 and Class 12, are postponed. The new dates shall be announced later,” the notice said.
The postponement applies to CBSE-affiliated schools across multiple countries in the Middle East, including Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Students in these regions will have to wait for the board to announce the revised examination schedule.
CBSE also said it will closely monitor the situation before taking further decisions regarding upcoming examinations. The board will review conditions on March 3 and decide whether exams scheduled from March 5, 2026, onwards will proceed as planned.
