Thousands of farmers from Punjab are converging at the border of Haryana as they embark on their journey towards Delhi, laden with tents, ration, and supplies on tractor trolleys. Farmers from Sangrur, Barnala, and Amritsar have initiated the march towards Delhi, reaching the Shambhu border of Ambala, where clashes between farmers and police erupt. Police resort to firing tear gas shells using drones to deter the advancing farmers who attempt to break through barricades.
Despite these measures, farmers continue their march towards Delhi, facing obstacles at every turn.Haryana government has implemented stringent blockades at key points like Shambhu Border in Ambala, Tikri Border in Bahadurgarh, and Singhu Border in Sonipat to thwart the farmers' progress.
The Central government has deployed 64 companies of BSF and CRPF to manage the situation in Haryana. Highways, including the Ambala-Chandigarh route, have been closed due to the farmers' march, with the Shambhu border sealed up to one kilometer towards Ambala. Authorities advise travelers to use alternate routes via Chandigarh and Delhi National Highways.
