Chingrighata flyover height bar collapses at midnight, triggers massive traffic jam to Sector V

The height bar at the entry of the Chingrighata flyover collapsed around midnight on Friday, triggering a loud crash that alarmed nearby residents. Locals rushed to the spot after hearing the noise and found the overhead height restriction structure had fallen. The collapse caused heavy traffic congestion stretching from Chingrighata to Salt Lake Sector V, disrupting vehicular movement through the night. No injuries were reported.

Police began reviewing CCTV footage to determine how the height bar collapsed. Residents said they were frightened by the incident and claimed that the structure occasionally shakes or shows signs of instability. "We are scared because this height bar sometimes falls," a local resident said. Traffic movement was restored by Saturday morning, while engineers arrived to inspect the damaged structure.
