In a significant development, the Central Investigation Agency has initiated an inquiry into an alleged recruitment corruption case involving Trinamool Congress councilors Devraj Chakraborty and Bappaditya Dasgupta. Summons were sent to their residences, leading to searches during which numerous documents were reportedly seized. The summons required their presence at Nizam Palace by 11 am on Thursday, raising questions about their timely response and cooperation.
Both councilors, Devraj Chakraborty and Bappaditya Dasgupta, adhered to the summons and appeared at the designated location. The Central Investigation Agency issued the summons on Thursday without providing a 24-hour notice, emphasizing the urgency of the investigation. Despite the short notice, both councilors expressed their willingness to cooperate with the ongoing inquiry.
