The Dhono Dhanyo Auditorium in Kolkata turned into a hub of celebration, inspiration, and applause on Saturday, June 21, as Taaza TV’s Medha Samman 2025 honoured over 2,000 Class 12 toppers from 100+ leading schools across Eastern India. Hailed as the largest academic felicitation ceremony in the region, the event brought together students, proud parents, school leaders, and top dignitaries for an unforgettable evening celebrating merit, determination, and dreams.
Students who scored 90% and above or secured top rankings in their respective streams were presented with certificates, medals, mementos, gift hampers, and the well-deserved spotlight. Over 6000 people filled the auditorium with cheers, standing ovations, and heartwarming moments of recognition.
Commodore PR Hari, Chairman & Managing Director of GRSE (Ministry of Defence) and the Chief Guest of the event, gave a powerful message, stating:
“Our warships guard the nation’s waters, but it’s the brilliance and discipline of these young minds that will safeguard the nation’s future. I see tomorrow’s leaders, innovators, and nation-builders here today.”
