India beats Bangladesh by 7 wickets in first T20, chase down total in 11.5 overs
In a press conference held at Nabanna today, West Bengal State Finance Minister Chandrima Bhattacharya expressed concern over the ongoing dispute between the government and junior doctors. She described the RG Kar incident as "painful" and expressed disappointment over the junior doctors for not adhering to the Supreme Court's order.
"We have also passed a strong bill in the assembly. But the tug of war going on regarding the talks is not a good thing. The junior doctors have not even followed the Supreme Court's order," Bhattacharya stated.
Bhattacharya stated that the Chief Minister had shown willingness for open dialogue, but expressed frustration over the timing of communications. "The CMO received a mail at 3:45 in the morning. Is this appropriate? Can anyone send a mail to the CMO so early in the morning?" she questioned.
She also accused the junior doctors of not wanting to engage in talks with the government, noting that the Chief Minister had to wait both yesterday and today for a response. "If they are ready to talk without any conditions, then we are also ready," Bhattacharya said.
