CM likely to inaugurate Dhana Dhanye Auditorium on April 13

The construction of the new Dhan Dhanye auditorium in the metropolis has been completed, and if everything goes according to plan, the Chief Minister will inaugurate it on April 13th. This unique auditorium, located near Uttirna in Alipore, has been built in the shape of a conch shell, making it stand out from other auditoriums.

The auditorium boasts several notable features, including a Street Theatre with seating for 300 people. The Public Works Department (PWD) has overseen the construction of the auditorium, which has cost around 450 crores to build. It comprises three separate auditoriums, with one seating capacity of 2000 and another seating capacity of 600.

The building itself is an impressive 510 feet long and 210 feet wide, with approximately 6,500 metric tonnes of steel used in its construction. The Dhan Dhanye Auditorium is one of the Chief Minister's dream projects, and it has been completed in time for the upcoming Poyla Vaishal celebration.

During the inauguration program of a multi-level car parking project in Alipur, CM Mamata Banerjee had expressed her desire to see the Dhan Dhanye Auditorium in the shape of a conch shell, and her wish has been fulfilled. While only two gates remain to be completed, sources suggest that the auditorium may be inaugurated before the Bangla New Year.
