West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is set to embark on an official tour of the northern districts of the state, with plans to attend various public distribution programs and a family wedding ceremony. The Chief Minister is scheduled to participate in a public distribution ceremony in Kurseong city on Thursday, followed by attendance at a wedding ceremony on the same day.
Mamata Banerjee is expected to spend several days in Kurseong, staying in a renowned tea plantation area. Trinamool Congress General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee has already reached Kurseong to participate in the upcoming wedding ceremony.
Additionally, Mamata Banerjee is slated to visit the northern plains of Bengal on December 9, where administrative and public distribution functions are anticipated in Alipurduar on December 10 and in Jalpaiguri district on December 11.Notably, during these programs, the Chief Minister may distribute land rights documents to around four thousand residents of tea gardens, as per official sources.
